To enter you'll need to register, which only takes a few seconds, and to enter Jennie & Rob's surname in lowercase followed by an exclamation mark, e.g. jones!The day began, as weddings seem to this year, with me dodging rain as I headed to get photos of the groom in his suit before he left for Shaw Hill in a funky stretch limo.
After that it was a quick dash up to Shaw Hill to get photographs of Rob arriving, the ceremony room set up and dressed for the wedding, and Jennie getting ready, helped by her mum and bridesmaids. Jennie's beautiful dress was by The Brides Gallery and the bridesmaids' from The Glass Slipper in Chorley.
All the flowers and the lovely bouquets were made by Jennie's very talented sister Joanne!
The ceremony was held in Shaw Hill's "gold room" with bride and groom lit by natural light flooding in from the windows - great for photography.
Afterwards we were able to get some photos outside before the heavens opened again and everyone took shelter. It rained on and off for the rest of the day, but everyone had a great time and it didn't spoil a thing.
After a short break whilst everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast, I was back photographing the speeches and the cake cutting - I love getting natural reactions and informal reportage style photography.
I'd like to thank Jennie & Rob's DJ from Superb Functions - he was the first I've ever known who asked me what sort of lighting I'd like for photos and tried different things... really helpful!
As for the dancing - well, everyone had a great time - thanks to all for letting me share it.
