Every so often at Weddings I come across guests who comment on the fact that I lug around for hours and hours a fairly huge photography bag... I guess it may seem pretty odd as most of the time I'm only using one camera, one lens and sometimes a flash....so why do I carry such a huge bag?
Well I thought I'd show just why it's so big and why at the end of the day my shoulders want to be bionically replaced!
In the photo are 3 Canon DSLR's, two longer range telephoto lenses (used for ceremony shots from the back), a fisheye lens (for reception tables, groups), a wide angle zoom (big group shots), a macro (close up) lens (for details), three standard zooms (the workhorses),two prime lenses for low light/portraits, two flash units, a light meter, sewing kit, off camera flash extension (stops red eye), battery grip for my newest DSLR and about 80gb worth of memory cards! Phew.
As you may expect, not all of this fits in one bag, and for most weddings I tend to leave out the longer of the telephoto zooms and one or two of the other lenses - but this still leaves rather a lot of stuff!
